Hattie's Cancer Journey
My daughter Hattie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called botryoid rhabdomyosarcoma in July 2013 when she was 16 months old. After about a year and a half of chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries, she was declared cancer free in December 2014. I'm posting a photo and short reflection every day in 2015 to celebrate the end of treatment and reflect on the journey.

41. 9/2/2013 - Horsing around with Auntie.
We had another good day with Auntie in town and visited Drumlin Farm. We met Hattie the Hog (no relation), pet some sheep and horsed around on the fake horses. It was a really fun day all around and just felt so normal.
One of the toughest parts of treatment is never knowing what to expect. We went from two nights in the ED to three days of fun. A bad day was always lurking around the corner so we tried to appreciate those good ones as much as possible
